One more chapter in life has finished. It is now time to move on.... Time to leave the penthouse in Southside where I had spent my last twelve months. Since I haven't found a proper place, I am moving temporarily to Fisher Hall in Evelyn Gardens.
On the eve, Admire gave us all a party. It was a party to celebrate his work permit. While Choo or Daniel were not with us we have more guys. Aminul and a friend of Daniel who was staying with in his room. Very shameful, I can't remember his name.
All of us went shopping together. It was quite nice. It had been so long since I had been to the Sainsbury here. The nice thing about the walk to the Sainsbury is that we pass through the posh areas of South Kensingtion. The area is filled with all the cars -- Beetle, Bentley, BMW, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lotus, Mercedes, Mini Cooper, Porsche, Range Rover and a whole lot of others. Occasionally, we see a few Japanese cars. So every time I have walked to Sainsbury with my friends, we have talked about cars.
It had been pretty long since I last came to Sainsbury. They have now added self check out counters. Quite interesting. I guess it makes sense if you are in a hurry and don't have much to check out.
The party itself was pretty nice. Cooked some good food, had some good stories. Specially about Nigeria and all. Aminul, who was planning to return later in the evening spent the night at our place as it was already pretty late. It was around 2:00 in the morning and we were still chatting, and we hadn't started packing yet. Well, we as in Admire and me.
I hardly got to sleep. Was up by 6:00 and started packing. I personally didn't have much to take. Still I had quite some stuffs. I had a bag full of Pushkar's clothes, then some books and quite a bit of kitchen stuffs that Pushkar had given. I did manage to finish some but we still had quite a bit left.
I did the first trip with Aminul and Manpreet. Checked into Fisher Hall. Hmm, from the top most floor to bottom most. The room are in the basement. Since, there aren't anyone else with us, it feels like having the whole flat to us so it is quite nice. However, the sad thing is the phone reception is pretty lousy. So can't receive mobile phone. Still it is pretty nice for a week. I am posting some photos in my album.
The shifting itself wasn't so bad because we moved the remaining stuffs in a black cabs. Manpreet did one trip and I did one. Moved in and took a shower. Gosh, I really needed it. It was definitely very relaxing after it. Felt cleaner and refreshed. Another nice thing is since the shower is on the ground floor unlike in the penthouse, it was pretty effective and had full force. I just felt like sitting there in the shower for hours.
Later in the evening Aminul invited us to dinner. It was very nice. We enjoyed a superb dinner which Aminul cooked. Since we had finished all our submissions in school it was quite nice sitting there chatting. Nothing to worry about. Aminul is leaving in a week so I sat there listening to his plans after he returns. Of course, the best part was about returning home and eating all the food he had missed ;)
